But todays world of natural disasters that shows clearly how fragile life is and the threat of terrorism looms large on any country that breathes.. In the stress the adults live in we show it to our children, the number of abused children has gone up significantly.. The diseases that plague mankind has increased, from SARS to H1N1..
What for me is the worst thing todays kids must face is dwindling hope.. Mankind has shown itself to be very resourceful and its ability come away from anything nature has thrown in its path is mainly due to the hope for the future that humans once had but with each new blow coming it seems that we are holding the towel in our hands and ready to throw it in..
Man is so preoccupied with dodging the various nuances life throws at him that we stop deflecting it for others and for the young ones out there who are defenseless.. How many times have we said its easier being a kid because they have less to worry about, well that was because our parents and theirs before us worked their lives to ensure their future generations are well off but todays generations is a live for yourself one.
I shudder at the thought of the amount of stress a kid has to go through, in a world where a diploma is now worth less the paper its printed, in a world where death could hit you in a instant and in a world where its living the perfect example of life is unfair..
